This is a demanding role, but for the right candidate it will be an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated multi-disciplinary team and help us to deliver highly skilled and personalised support to the young adults we care for.

 

What are we looking for? 

  • The skills and experience to be able to coordinate the operational needs of the home including managing a team of up to 25 support workers working on a rotational shift basis
  • To lead and direct others to provide person centred support to children and young people with physical disabilities and complex health needs in order to promote independence and personal fulfilment
  • Proven experience in dealing with complex physical and medical disabilities
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social care or willingness to complete this within 12 months of joining
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to keep calm under pressure, be highly motivated, patient and enjoy working as part of a team
  • A working understanding of relevant legislation and policies
  • A positive attitude towards diversity in general and specifically towards the rights, independence, inclusion, and choice for Young People with complex needs.
