FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT

SALARY: £24K–£25K FTE** HOURS:** Full-time preferred, but part-time and flexible applications will be considered. Must be available to work Fridays and some evenings or weekends for events
Please note: This role requires you to be onsite for all agreed working days.

For the right candidate, professional training and development in fundraising will be considered. You’ll also have the chance to work onsite at our state-of-the-art facilities, making a real impact on the lives of children living with complex disabilities.

What You’ll Be Doing
Be the first point of contact for our dynamic fundraising team, building relationships with donors and corporate partners. Support fundraisers with impactful research, donor engagement, database management, and event involvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the fundraising inbox and calendar.
- Acting as the main contact for enquiries (phone, email, visitors, online forms).
- Processing incoming funds and sending heartfelt thanks to donors.
- Coordinating fundraising resources and managing bookings.
- Conducting prospect and market research.
- Maintaining up-to-date Mailchimp and newsletter contacts.
- Assisting with the preparation and delivery of fundraising events, including bucket collections and talks.
- Representing the Foundation at events and sourcing raffle/auction prizes from local businesses.
- Supporting the team with day-to-day admin and meeting coordination.
What You Bring to the Table
Essential:
- GCSE Grade D or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Strong customer care and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent record-keeping and administration skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with CRM databases and MS Office.
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends (with time off in lieu).
Desirable:
- Experience in a fundraising charity.
- Familiarity with data protection practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
