FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT
Chailey Heritage Foundation has an exciting new opportunity for Fundraising Assistant to join a unique place to work.
LOCATION: Onsite, BN8 4EF*
SALARY: £24K- £25K FTE (25 hours £16,302 pro rata - £16,900 pro rata)*
HOURS: 15-25 Hours per week, working days can be flexible but must be able to work Fridays and some evenings and weekends depending on the event *

What you’ll be doing:
Be the first point of contact for our dynamic Fundraising Team, building relationships with donors and corporate partners. Support our fundraisers with impactful research, donor engagement, database management, and exciting event involvement
What you bring to the table:
- Manage the fundraising inbox and calendar
- Main point of contact for all fundraising enquiries (phone calls, emails, onsite visitors, online forms etc)
- Meet and greet all supporters
- Process incoming funds and thank donors/supporters
- Manage booking out and purchase of fundraising resources.
- Complete prospect and market research
- Schedule and book fundraising team meetings and take minutes
- All administration duties to be done daily
- Keep the Mailchimp and newsletter contacts up to date
- Support the fundraising team in the successful preparation and delivery of fundraising events, bucket collections and talks
- Represent the Foundation at events
- Give excellent customer service during all fundraising events
- Distribute event invitations and coordinate responses
- Source raffle and auction prizes from local businesses.
- Provide research support to all fundraisers including Trust, Corporate, HNWI prospects and market research.
Skills and Experience:
- GCSE Grade D or above, or equivalent, in Maths and English
- Experience working in a target-based environment
- Demonstrates strong customer care skills and attention to relationships
- Sound record-keeping and administration skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good IT skills, including CRM databases and MS Office applications
- Able to work regular evenings and weekends, which will be recompensated
Other useful skills and experience:
- Experience in a fundraising charity
- Experience using a CRM database
- Good knowledge of data protection
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
