Activities Coordinator – Residential Social Care

Location: North Chailey, East Sussex, BN8 4EF

Salary: £24,242 – £26,377 per annum (DOE)

Hours: 37 hours per week (full-time)

As our Activities Coordinator, you’ll bring joy, structure, and opportunity into each young adult’s daily life. From drama, music and art to swim sessions, gym workouts and day trips, you’ll create a rich, inclusive programme of activities using our fantastic on-site facilities and community links.

 

What you'll be doing: 

  • Getting to know each young adult and designing personalised activity programmes around their interests

  • Leading engaging sessions — from arts and crafts to gardening, games, and cooking

  • Organising outings, community trips, and big events like Celebration Day and the Carol Service

  • Liaising with care teams and families to align activities with aspirations, progress, and transitions

  • Collaborating across CHF teams to tap into shared expertise and brilliant resources

 

What you'll bring: 

  • Experience working in a care setting — ideally with young people with disabilities

  • A creative, proactive mindset — someone who sees opportunities and makes them happen

  • Strong organisational skills and confidence leading activities and events

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships

  • Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • A minibus driving qualification — or willingness to train (bonus!)
