We are dedicated to the continuous development and growth of our colleagues and are looking for a Learning Facilitator & Coordinator to support a wide range of learning experiences provided to colleagues who support the children and young adults at Chailey Heritage Foundation.


You will play a pivotal role coordinating, facilitating, delivering, tracking, and recording the learning programs offered at the Foundation and delivering engaging and interactive learning experiences.


  • LOCATION: Hybrid/ Office
  • SALARY: £28,000- £33,000 DO
  • HOURS: Monday – Friday 37 hours

What you’ll be doing:


As the Learning Facilitator and Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating, facilitating, tracking and recording learning programs and interventions to ensure continuous development and growth of our colleagues.


Formal Learning Coordination:

  • Work with the L&D Manager to shape an L&D delivery calendar and schedule.
  • Coordinate logistics for learning sessions, including venue booking, equipment setup, and materials preparation, as required
  • Support the management of end-to-end Learning & Development propositions, delivering to agreed timescales and with appropriate quality level to meet the requirements.
  • Collaborate with external training providers and consultants when necessary


Learning Facilitation:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive sessions using a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
  • Work across the L&D team to help adapt learning content to different learning preferences  and audience needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage participation and facilitate discussions and activities and provide constructive feedback.
  • Deliver learning sessions as needed, either in person, virtually or via digital solutions.
  • Assist in the development and updating of learning materials, presentations, and resources.
  • Research industry best practices and incorporate relevant content into learning solutions.
  • Ensure learning is delivered at a standard and volume to meet our regulatory requirements (Ofsted/CQC/Health & Safety Standards) and ensure we meet legislative obligations.


Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Establish evaluation criteria and methods to assess the effectiveness of learning programs.
  • Collate feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve learning initiatives.
  • Analyse learning metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on trends and developments in learning and adult learning methodologies.
  • Carry out relevant colleague observations and coaching to support the embedding of new skills and ongoing development.

Curriculum Management

  • Take shared ownership of the quality, design and delivery of our learning and development curriculum across CHF to increase competence, capability and overall business goals.
  • Ensure a consistent approach to our L&D governance, principles and framework is maintained.


What you bring to the table:



  • CITP/CIPD/equivalent Learning & Development qualification desired, or willingness to work towards.
  • Experience working within a Social Care environment with children and young people with disability and/or complex medical needs.
  • Proven experience working in a training and facilitation context
  • Experience in presenting to group audiences and facilitating learning.
  • Has contributed to the design and delivery of job-related skills development
  • Knowledge and understanding of educational, residential or health setting
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft products and the ability to use them in a learning and development environment.
  • Foundation knowledge of learning principals, approaches and best practice.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, organise/prioritise workload and work across a team to ensure work completes on time.
  • Builds strong relationships that enable long term trust/confidence and influence.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to set clear outcomes and be flexible with workloads to meet changing targets or tight deadlines.
  • Has a passion for their own learning as well as the development of others
  • Excellent communicator and listening skills
  • Awareness of risks and regulation that may impact in a learning and development environment.


Other useful skills and experience:

  • Experience of partnering with third parties and ensuring value for money.
