Position overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our People Team for a HR Administrator to join us on an initial 3 month fixed term contract.
JOB TITLE: HR Administrator
SALARY: £20,000 - £23,000 depending on experience
HOURS: Full time 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
LOCATION: North Chailey / Hybrid
As our HR Administrator you will provide support to the People team in delivering an effective and comprehensive HR service to CHF. Acting as first point of contact for general HR queries, the HR Administrator is responsible for administrative support throughout the colleague lifecycle.
Essential
* Good command of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, database work and HRIS systems. (knowledge of AccessXD an advantage)
* GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent, in English and Maths
* An understanding and interest in the HR function and its contribution to the Organisation
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to communicate clearly and effectively face-to-face and on the telephone
* Previous administration experience in a HR Environment
* Positive attitude towards diversity in general and specifically towards the rights, independence, inclusion and choice for children and young people with complex needs.
Desirable:
* Experience working within a charity/ education/ social care sector
Responsibilities:
* Receiving and screening telephone calls to the team, responding where appropriate, taking messages and re-directing as appropriate
* Support the process for colleague DBS checks, as necessary in line with CHF policy
* Prepare documents, letters and reports to a high standard of accuracy and presentation
* Complete HR related administrative duties supporting various HR processes
* Support the updating of L&D records and any general L&D administration
* Work across the People Team, Finance and IT colleagues ensuring all on boarding, contract changes, starter, leaver and absence information is communicated to the respective departments in a timely manner.
